About Building Products and Construction Materials Industry Group (BPCM IG)
The Building Products & Construction Materials Industry Group's (BPCM IG) mission is to promote and share business experiences and information with members, relevant government agencies and private organisations. It serves as a platform to disseminate and communicate government legislation concerning the building and construction industry to members.
The SMF BPCM IG Committee meets regularly to discuss the industry's happenings and to organise activities. Dialogue sessions are held regularly for members to provide feedback and insights into their problems, and more importantly, to explore business opportunities.
Sub-contract Booklet
The BPCM IG also produces its very own sub-contract booklet, Supplementary Conditions of Sub-Contract, which was jointly developed by SMF and Specialists Trade Alliance of Singapore (STAS).
This standard Form of Contract or Sub-Contract is a comprehensive document which was drafted to protect the contractual interests of domestic sub-contractors and suppliers. It is intended to serve as a supplement to the main contract.

BPCM IG Objective
- To promote and focus on the specialized business interests of members, and share business experiences and information among members
- To serve as a platform for the dissemination of government policies, and also plan feedback and dialogue sessions for members to communicate their concerns with the relevant government agencies
- To form strategic alliances among members so as to obtain economies of scale in business operations
