Validation and labelling of food product with nutrition or health attributes (Base on TR58:2017)

Food Standards Committee (FSC) jointly organised this workshop with NYP and ALS on 9 Nov 2017 where participants learned about validation and labelling via lecture and case studies. It is utmost essential in doing proper validation of functional attributes in food products which will increase credibility of claims to consumers. In Singapore, all pre-packed food products bearing nutrition or health claims must meet the relevant regulatory requirements. Participants toured two of NYP’s state of the art facilities and visited ALS Technichem (S) Pte Ltd. The workshop attracted 114 participants from 66 organisations.
