Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) was invited as one of the panel speakers for Global Forum on IP on 4 September 2018. 

Speaking on the business track panel titled “Singapore Enterprises and Their Innovation Journey” SMF President, Mr. Douglas Foo gave an engaging speech on some innovations that came out through Business Model Innovation and how these innovations can be protected through the registration of Intellectual Property (IP). He also highlighted some of SMF’s upcoming initiatives such as Nest@SMF, which is a business incubator and Manufacturing-as-a-Service (MaaS), which is a cloud platform that manufacturers can access to produce their goods.

Global Forum on IP is a two-day forum whereby senior business leaders, policy makers, heads of IP offices, lawyers and academics come together to discuss issues that surrounds IP in the innovation cycle.
