The Work Life Grant (WLG) aims to provide funding support to companies to implement and sustain the use of Flexible Work Arrangement (FWAs) for employees to create work-life harmony at the workplace.
The Grant comprises the FWA incentives and Job Sharing Incentives. Companies may tap on either or both grants. Eligible companies can receive funding support of up to $105,000 per company for local employees (Must be either Singapore Citizens or Singaporean Permanent Residents, employed on permanent basis or on employment contracts that are at least 12 months in duration), over 2 years. Companies are subjected to the individual caps within the respective grant components.

We have received a much larger than usual number of applications for WLG. We ask for your patience as your applications are processed. Priority will be given to applications with complete set of documents on a first come first serve basis, and subject to the availability of funds allocated to the WLG scheme. Please note that submission of an application does not guarantee approval. Thank you.

Since the implementation of the Circuit Breaker on 7 April 2020, many companies have explored various forms of flexible work arrangements (FWAs) over the past four months to ensure business continuity and the safety of their workers. Through an additional $140M under the Work-Life Grant (WLG), more than 8,000 companies and over 90,000 employees will be supported to provide and sustain FWAs during this challenging period.
We are heartened that more companies are offering FWAs to protect the health of their employees and promote work-life harmony. As the provision of FWAs is increasingly normalised and made prevalent at workplaces, the need to incentivise the provision of FWAs through the WLG has reduced. As such, PPs will no longer be accepting applications for the WLG after 18 August 2020, 6pm.
Thereafter, companies that require further support to implement work-from-home arrangements may consider Enterprise Singapore’s Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG). The PSG has been enhanced to encourage enterprises to continue with their digitalisation and productivity upgrading efforts, including to help enterprises implement COVID-19 business continuity measures, such as online collaboration tools and virtual meeting tools, with an enhanced funding support level of 80% until the end of this year.
TAFEP has made available and is continuing to provide resources to support companies in implementing FWAs.
Supported through the WLG and other FWA resources, we hope companies will remain in good stead with ready systems in place to sustain work-from-home and staggered hours arrangements during and beyond the COVID-19 pandemic.
