Theo10 Pte Ltd (Theo10) develops and manufactures all natural, organic skincare and healthcare products. Starting with balms that help provide relief for symptoms caused by insect bites, eczema, and muscle cramps, Theo10 has since expanded their product offerings to include insect repellents and sunscreen.
In the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, the company faced a disruption to their logistics chain, causing Theo10 to have to fly their team of six to Thailand on an almost daily basis, to hand-carry 300 kilograms of empty bottles from their Thai supplier.
Seeing the opportunity brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Theo10 launched its line of hand sanitisers and disinfectants ahead of schedule and was able to capitalise on the demand for products to keep the hands and work area germ-free. Theo10 was then tasked to develop a full-body disinfectant for the staff working on dormitories and hotels.
Anticipating an increase in demand for products that are effective against both the COVID-19 and dengue virus, Theo10 developed a Nano Aerial Catalytic Liquid, a robust product that is able to easily disinfect and rid an area of germs and pest in seconds, thereby killing the proverbial two birds with one stone.
Looking ahead, past the COVID-19 pandemic, Theo10 has developed a treatment for Hand, Foot & Mouth disease and plans to distribute this Made-in-Singapore product regionally.
From a company that relied heavily on roadshows, with sales generated from events and exhibitions accounting to almost 90% of its revenue, Theo10 had to refocus their efforts to e-commerce platforms due to the cancellations of roadshows to curb the virus spread. With the cancellation of roadshows, it has freed up time for Theo10 to dedicate more efforts into developing the infrastructureof the company. “Theo10 can now adapt to new trends faster, develop and launch more relevant products and have a clearer vision of how to mark a path that is more sustainable and suitable for the new future,” says Theo10 Director Mr Theodore Khng.
Yet, e-commerce platforms have dulled the customer interactions they previously had at roadshows. Therefore, to adapt to this change, Theo10 has since set up several private group chats online to maintain these interactions and allow customers to reach them with relative ease.
