The Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF) is pleased to be one of the first Trade Associations and Chambers (TACs) in Singapore to make use of the Telegram social media chat platform as a helpline for businesses.
Named “SMF HELPS!”, this chat group is launched on 6 August 2020 and is public and open to the entire local manufacturing community. Through this medium, businesses can leverage on the SMF’s extensive local and overseas networks to provide feedback, seek assistance on business needs and engage with other manufacturers and service providers.
SMF President, Mr. Douglas Foo said, “The COVID-19 pandemic requires a national level response. With this channel, the SMF can collate information from the community immediately, so as to continue being a strong advocate for the manufacturing sector in shaping public policy. Companies that require lucidity on governmental policies and assistance, or, seeking collaboration opportunities via business matching can now also do so in real time, providing for much needed agility in today’s business climate. I would like to welcome all interested in manufacturing to come aboard with us!”
