Ms Natalia Martinez Paramo, Head of Unit of the EASME / European Commission delivered the welcome address, and gave EEN Partners a better knowledge of the EU-Singapore Free Trade Agreement (EUSFTA) after it took effect in 2019.

During the webinar, participants from each organisation shared topics ranging from potential collaboration opportunities within Singapore’s ecosystem and Europe, covering areas such as Smart Cities, Healthcare, Ecommerce and Sustainability, internationalising businesses through trade fairs, business missions and brokerage events as well as leveraging on the EUSFTA to build partnerships with Singapore companies.

The webinar concluded with a Q&A session chaired by Mr Marco Gorini, Head of Technology Transfer and Innovation Services at the Veneto Innovazione Spa and Mr Jean Philippe Mergen of the EEN Brussels/Chair of the Thematic Group Internationalisation, where the EEN Singapore team answered to a few questions that were raised.

More than 90 EEN partners attended this insightful webinar session to learn more about EEN Singapore and the services offered by all three partners. In addition, the webinar has raised a great deal of interest among the various Commission services (e.g. the EU Delegation) and has featured prominently in the DG GROW newsletter of the European Commission.
