The SMF was one of the panellists at the Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants (ISCA) pre-Budget Roundtable, held yesterday (11 Jan 2024). Represented by SMF President Mr Lennon Tan, he provided an insightful overview of Singapore's manufacturing sector and some recommendations for the upcoming Singapore Budget 2024. One of the recommendations from the SMF advocates for the Government to offer support to SMEs in meeting sustainability-related export criteria, such as the European Union’s carbon border adjustment mechanism. This is particularly crucial as many SMEs are currently uncertain about navigating these requirements.
