The SMF Opened Singapore Exchange’s Daily Securities Market
The SMF would like to congratulate and wish the Singapore Exchange a joyous 20th Anniversary! May the Singapore Exchange continue this journey of success and look forward to many more prosperous years ahead!
In celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the Singapore Exchange, the SMF was invited to open the daily securities market by striking the gong on 24 September 2019. It was a wonderful opportunity for the SMF to be part of this time-honoured tradition, and, even more so, this invitation is a reflection of the Singapore Exchange’s dedication to working closer with local manufacturing companies.
During his address, SMF President Mr Douglas Foo praised Singapore Exchange for putting such strong emphasis on corporate transparency and governance, that companies listed in the Singapore Exchange have instant credibility.
Some SMF Council members came to open the daily securities market on 24 September 2019.
“Therefore, I think it is very timely that the SMF and the Singapore Exchange have now come together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Singapore Exchange. This is a manifestation of our partnership and it is only through such partnerships that Singapore has grown to be a reputable place to do business and come to be known as a global financial hub.” Said Mr Foo.
