YCH GROUP PAYS VISIT TO THE SMF

YCH Group delegation paid a courtesy visit to the SMF

 On 11 January 2021, Dr Robert Yap, Executive Chairman of YCH Group, and his team of delegates visited the SMF for a business meeting. SMF President Mr Douglas Foo warmly welcomed Dr Robert Yap and his team as they visited to understand the role of the SMF to the local manufacturing sector and explore business opportunities for supply chain collaboration.

Dr Yap has over four decades of experience in the field of logistics and supply chain management. YCH Group operates across five different industries, from electronics and chemicals to consumer goods, always tailoring solutions to the needs of its customers. Because of its business versatility, YCH is able to manage the assets of its clients in a sophisticated way. YCH is Singapore’s largest local supply chain solutions company and leading supply chain management partner for a number of brands across Asia–Pacific.

During the visit, Mr Foo mentioned that the SMF could help to bridge and introduce member companies to strengthen business collaborations and partnerships with YCH Group. He also indicated that GS1 Singapore, which implements and manages a global multi[1]industry GS1 standards-based system for the identification and communication of products, services, assets and locations, will be able to assist Singapore companies working on the digitisation of business processes.

Discussions were also held on how to forge a stronger working relationship between the SMF and YCH Group on optimising supply chain solutions, and omni-channel and e-commerce logistics services to help Singapore companies provide consumers with seamless purchasing and after-purchase experience with better access to businesses around the world.
